The word cartoon has various meanings, based on several very different forms of visual art and illustration. The artists who draw cartoons are known as cartoonists. The term has evolved over time. The original meaning was in fine art, where cartoon meant a preparatory drawing for a piece of art, such as a painting or tapestry. The modern meaning refers to both humorous illustrations in print and animated films. Even more recently, there are several contemporary meanings, including creative visual work for electronic media and animated digital media. When the word cartoon is applied to print media, it most often refers to a humorous single-panel drawing or gag cartoon, most of which have typeset captions rather than speech balloons. The word cartoon is sometimes used to refer to a comic strip, and it can also refer to a humorous illustration for fiction or nonfiction published in newspapers and magazines. Q. Is there a easy program that lets u make animated cartoons? If yes please tell me what it is. Thanks. Asked by VGirl - Tue Aug 12 17:50:06 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Easiest program that you may not need to download anything at all: Paint and Windows Movie Maker! =D The suckiest programs, but very easy and simple to use. I recommend you to use these 2 programs before going to more advanced animation making program (if you know any). First, you need to notice how animation work. An animation requires numbers of "slides". Each slide has a picture and the next slide will move a little. For example, if you want a character to wink, select a slide and figure out how this is done. Now make another slide and slightly adjust one of the eyes. The eye should have an eyelid moving slightly downward. Keep making more slides while moving down the eyelid little by little until you have a slide that have an eye… [cont.] Answered by Darkray - Tue Aug 12 18:46:53 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Cartoons"
