what major should i use if i plan to go into law school, for either family court or juvenile justice?
Q. I'm currently in a C.C n id like 2 major in sociology, n use that for a law degree, but I'm not sure what classes to take? n if i major in sociology can i use it towards law school? i really want to do family court, or juvenile justice but not sure if my major goes with wat i chose. any suggestions??

A. Sure you can. Many who go to law school major in political science. However, the smarter thing to do is to major in something you can fall back on in case you either don't do well in law school or you change your mind. Also, if your major compliments some specialty in law that's good too. I don't know of sociology would be the best. Check out some careers that are in the field of family or kids and see what degree is required for that. I was thinking about going to law school with a major in accounting and a minor in law. When applying to 4 year colleges (I was also transferring from a CC) and told them my plan they liked it.

Q. yeah i wanted to look up and see wat kinda troubles u could get in to for bringing boltcutters to school and breaking a lock off a locker. but not stealikng anything. if someone could tell me wat would happen or a good website to look up that would be great!! also i dint need none of u saying worthless shiiit..so if u dont got anything good to say then shut the fuckkk up.

If you break the lock off, even if you don't steal anything, you risk getting charged with theft, anyway (in addition to destruction of school property, vandalism, harassment, invasion of privacy, etc.). When the owner of the locker says "where's my gold watch? Where's my $50 bill? I left them in my locker", who is going to believe that you broke the lock but didn't take anything? If you want to learn more about the laws in your State, google "Oregon state law". Many States have the entire code online and searchable. If you can't find it online, check with your local library.

Have a question about juvenile law?
Q. I have a friend that has a daughter that has two charges on her record (larceny and breaking and entering). Some one told her that she can get it cleared when she turns 18. Is this true? Is in Virginia

A. Depends where you live. You are able to clear your record in Canada if you are convicted as a juvenile. It also depends how old she is now, because you can apply for a pardon as well, I think 5 years after the conviction.
